Saying "over-hype" your business idea brings about a business, person, or event in mind.
It is a sad truth that many student entrepreneurs will lie about numbers, value propositions, and their current statistics/metrics for the "hype."
This is not to say a business idea cannot go far, but it is important to remember every stage in the journey. Some are at their ideation, MVP, growth, and have been scaling consistently.
This is a feeling or gut instinct at times when you might think your business idea is the next big thing, but in order to help this (and even prove that claim), your claim needs to be backed up.
The hypocritical use of your business idea and the use of hottest and larger superlatives do not support your product or service.
In order to avoid this, focus more on your impact and work personally put in to make this business idea a real success; you can impress people and your target market with your business idea, research, and finances, not the words you think you would like to hear.
Additionally, you can try to create a ‘buzz’ for your product/service through various mediums of advertisements, but avoid putting the emphasis on how you will be the ultimate leader within your industry; remember it is a work-in-progress.
