Why I Enjoy Being An Antisocial Student
I lean a tad more alongside the introverted and antisocial spectrum.
While I would not consider myself a shy or wary person, I would say I am definitely reserved and private upon acquaintance with someone.
I have a rather interesting talent of socializing with people enough so that I do not portray myself as the “quiet kid” yet I make it a rule to not share too many details about myself.
People tend to decry being alone but I, in fact, find it very refreshing and therapeutic.
I like to be at home in my own environment, free of criticism and judgement from others.
I manage to get restless within a few short hours of social gatherings and find myself longing to lay in my bed and take pleasure in reading a book or watching a movie I have seen one too many times.
In my opinion, there needs to be a balance as with anything else in life.
Social isolation can be detrimental to your health, however at the same time, being too social always ends up draining and exhausting me.
Therefore, I have learned to exhibit good social skills if I am put in that position, however I much rather spending time alone by myself.
